Bore Snake Gun Cleaner Review

I first purchased a Bore Snake Cleaner last year and while it has not completely replaced my traditional cleaning rods, I now use it for the majority of my gun cleaning.

The concept is simple, all the elements of a traditional rod set have been incorporated into one rope, the mop, the brass brush, and a long nylon rope section that polishes the barrels. The weighted end is lowered through the barrels and the whole length is pulled through two or three times for an impeccable clean.

The whole process takes less than a couple of minutes and I can safely say that it has revolutionised my gun cleaning, which used to take much longer.

Even a traditionalist who refuses to make the change from rods to rope can benefit from a Bore Snake as they can be kept in the car or the bottom of a kit bag for quick emergency cleans when away from home.

Bore Snakes are available in calibres from 410 to 12 and make good presents for the hard-to-buy-for shooting enthusiast.
